Partagas Encuentro through the years

The Partagas Encuentro held in Havana has being going on for more than 15 years now. I have been fortunate to have participated in many of them. Much to my disappointment, I wasn't able to make it this year. That's too bad because this year they promised to outdo themselves by taking everyone to Santiago de Cuba for one of the events. Tonight would be when the Gala event would be taking place. For those of you who don't know what the Partagas Encuentro is, it's a 4 or 5 day event that takes place this time every year. There are a large number of Aficionados that look forward to this festival and an even larger one that wish they could make it. It's a great time to see old friends which you may only see this one time a year, at the 'Partagas Encuentro'. Since I wasn't able to make it this year, I've been reminiscing about past Encuentros I've been to. The pictures I've posted are from various Encuentros I've attended through the years. Several of the people in the photos have passed away, others (Cubans) have left the country for good and even more no longer work for the Partagas store or factory. One thing is certain however, when all of us get together for this event, it's good times all the way. A great time to meet old friends and an excellent opportunity to make new ones.
