Parque de los Agrimensores (Train Park) Havana

We're nearing the end of our walk along the Avenida del Puerto, in an area that's not usually visited by tourists. I have driven by this parquet many times but never stopped to take a closer look. I finally took the opportunity to do it on this occasion. The 'Parque de los Agrimensores' (Surveyors’ Park) is a great spot for train buffs as it contains a collection of more than a dozen antique steam trains on display. These old engines use to haul sugarcane around the island during their heyday, most (if not all) were built in the United States in the early 1900's. There was no other information I could find on the internet. Great spot for a break, take a seat on one of the many benches and do a little people watching, the park is frequented by the locals. Safe during the day, I don't know about after dark. Located across the street from the Estación de Ferrocarrilles Central, the main Railway Station that's under renovations.
