This has been one of our go-to restaurants for a number of years. It's probably been over a year since we've come back here and we were long overdue. Located right on the Malecon, it offers terrific views of Havana Bay and if you're there at the right time, a spectacular view of the Havana sunset. Since our last visit they've now added tables and chairs onto the sidewalk....in my case, a nice spot to catch some rays before going in for dinner, otherwise, a great spot to have one of their fabulous mojitos if you're not partaking in a meal. The restaurant has two different menus, one for the upstairs restaurant (international) and one for the downstairs (local). We opted for the downstairs since it's been years since we've eaten down here...I was looking forward to their pork ribs which have always been good. Consistency is a beautiful thing and the restaurant didn't disappoint. The service was good and the food, as usual, exactly what was expected. The menu is simple and well executed as well as being reasonably priced....3 drinks, water, 2 courses and dessert $42.10 before gratuity for the two of us. There will be the introduction of a buffet table in the future but the when and what it entails I do not know. If you haven't already been here, give it a shot, nothing special but decent food at a reasonable price.
PS.....smoking is allowed on the patio upstairs and in the back area downstairs where we ate.
