Bienal de La Habana (In Conclusion) Havana

The Bienal de la Habana is officially over today and in conclusion this was quite the extraordinary event that took place over the last month in Havana. It's suppose to happen once every two years but it was skipped for some reason last year. The last time they had one was three years ago. Havana's art scene is booming on a bad day, which is to say, there is art hanging in many places whether or not they're museums or galleries (hotels and restaurants are prime examples). But with the Bienal they pull out all the stops and abandoned buildings, sides of buildings, sidewalks and even the Havana Bay become galleries or a place to show art. This was my first time coming for one of these events and my only regret is that I didn't see more of it, I wish I would have dedicated more of my time to it. I will be back and recommend anyone who is into art to check out this spectacular event. Below I've posted some pictures of some of the Bienal Art that the didn't make the cut on the few pages I've posted dedicated to the Bienal. I hope I didn't bore my readers and I promise that I'll hold back on the Art Scene in future posts....but won't cut it out because it's such a big part of the Cuban Culture.
